Laik\u0101 no 1890. l\u012bdz 1895. gadam ostas mols tika pagarin\u0101ts l\u012bdz 90 metriem, un pirms Pirm\u0101 pasaules kara P\u0101vilost\u0101 jau bija ap 20 ku\u0123o\u0161anas k\u0101rt\u012bb\u0101 eso\u0161u ku\u0123u un ap 100 zvejas laivu. Ost\u0101 darboj\u0101s tr\u012bs ku\u0123u b\u016bv\u0113tavas, kur\u0101s b\u016bv\u0113ja nelielus buru ku\u0123us \u2013 vienmastu &#8220;malkas jan\u010dus&#8221;, k\u0101 ar\u012b divmastu gafel\u0161onerus t\u0101l\u0101kiem reisiem. \u0160aj\u0101 laik\u0101 P\u0101vilost\u0101 tika uzb\u016bv\u0113ti 15 ku\u0123i. P\u0113c kara ku\u0123u b\u016bvniec\u012bba vairs netika atjaunota.<\/p>\n<p>No 1923. l\u012bdz 1929. gadam osta tika rekonstru\u0113ta un finans\u0113ta no valsts bud\u017eeta, tika papla\u0161in\u0101ts mols un padzi\u013cin\u0101ta gr\u012bva. Latvijas valsts rekonstrukcijas darbos invest\u0113ja 2.4 miljonus latu. Lai gan komerci\u0101lo aktivit\u0101\u0161u l\u012bmenis nebija augsts (galvenok\u0101rt, koka eksports), ostai bija sava robe\u017ea, robe\u017esardze un gl\u0101b\u0161anas vien\u012bba. Padomju laik\u0101 ostu vad\u012bja zvejniec\u012bbas kolhozs un viet\u0113jiem zvejniekiem bija ierobe\u017eota piek\u013cuve ostai.<\/p>\n<p>Kop\u0161 2006. gada ost\u0101 ir izb\u016bv\u0113ta jauna, moderna jahtu piest\u0101tne <em>P\u0101vilosta Marina<\/em>, ier\u012bkota <em>Statoil<\/em> degvielas uzpildes stacija un izb\u016bv\u0113ta jauna, 128 metrus gara zvejas piest\u0101tne.<\/p>\n<p>2010. gad\u0101 piln\u012bb\u0101 rekonstru\u0113ti P\u0101vilostas ostas moli, atjaunotas v\u0113sturisk\u0101s b\u0101kas molu galos un veikti ostas akvatorija padzi\u013cin\u0101\u0161anas darbi l\u012bdz 4.5 metru dzi\u013cumam.
